Cookie Policy

CrawlFaster is operated by Taciturn Studios LLC.
1. Cookies CrawlFaster sets
CrawlFaster sets two first-party cookies. We do not use them for advertising.
Session cookie, named app_session_id. We set this when you sign in. It is HTTP-only, limited to path /, and uses SameSite=None. It is marked Secure when the sign-in request is made over HTTPS. It expires after 365 days. It holds the session token that keeps you signed in.
Sidebar cookie, named sidebar_state. The signed-in dashboard writes this in your browser when the sidebar is opened or closed. It is not HTTP-only, uses path /, and expires after 7 days. It stores only whether the sidebar is expanded.
2. Advertising on the blog
Pages at /blog and individual posts under /blog/ load Google AdSense (publisher ID ca-pub-1051825252184436). Google and its advertising partners may set and read their own cookies on those pages to serve ads, limit how often an ad is shown, and measure ad performance. CrawlFaster does not set those cookies. The homepage, the app, and these legal pages do not load that AdSense script.
You can manage ads personalization in Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some interest-based advertising at aboutads.info. Google describes these technologies in its advertising technologies policy. Our Privacy Policy covers the same advertising disclosure.
3. Analytics
CrawlFaster does not set a first-party analytics cookie and does not load Google Analytics, Plausible, Umami, or a similar visitor-analytics script. The Analytics page inside the app is a dashboard of indexing activity on your account. It is not a cookie that tracks visitors.
4. Browser storage that is not a cookie
We store a few preferences in local storage on your device. Local storage is not a cookie and is not sent to CrawlFaster with each request. The keys are: theme (light or dark appearance); crawlfaster_magnet_dismissed (the time you dismissed the playbook popup, which then stays hidden for 7 days); crawlfaster_magnet_subscribed (that you subscribed from that popup, so it stays hidden); chat_consent (that you accepted the chat notice); and sidebar-width (the dashboard sidebar width).
5. Stripe
Paid checkout and the billing portal run on Stripe's website. Stripe may set cookies on Stripe's domain while you pay or manage a subscription. CrawlFaster does not set those cookies. The amount and plan you authorize are shown on Stripe Checkout before you pay.
6. California law
This Cookie Policy is governed by the laws of the State of California.
7. Contact
